1. Our commitment
We design and build the Dermeva store with accessibility in mind. We measure our work against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). We also aim to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in the United States, the Equality Act 2010 in the United Kingdom, and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and other provincial accessibility legislation in Canada.
2. What we do
- Use sufficient colour contrast across the store and respect the user's preferred colour scheme where possible.
- Provide text alternatives for non-decorative images.
- Build pages so they can be navigated using a keyboard alone.
- Mark up forms with labels and clear error messages.
- Use semantic HTML so that screen-readers can interpret structure and headings.
- Test with current versions of NVDA, VoiceOver, and JAWS during meaningful releases.
- Avoid auto-playing audio and provide controls for any motion that we use.
3. Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content on the store may not yet be fully accessible. Common areas under active improvement include third-party widgets (chat, reviews, advertising pixels) and product imagery uploaded by external partners. If you encounter a barrier, please contact us — we treat accessibility issues as priority bugs.
4. Reporting accessibility issues
If you have trouble using any part of our store, or if you would like content in a different format (large print, plain-text email, etc.), email support@getdermeva.com with:
- The page URL where you encountered the issue.
- A short description of the issue.
- The browser, device, and assistive technology you were using (if you know).
We aim to respond within two business days and to fix critical accessibility issues as quickly as we can.
5. Alternative ways to shop
If you would prefer to place an order with the help of a member of our team — including over email — contact support@getdermeva.com and we will arrange it.
